The ocean is singing.
Dec. 8th, 2007 10:08 pm This is simply lovely. It's an organ built to use the natural movement of the ocean to play it. It's unearthly and beautiful, and I wish I could go to Croatia to experience it in person.
While I was listening, I was thinking how neat it would be for my hometown, Beaufort SC, to have something like that. Down at the waterfront part, where there are swings along the walkway for people to sit quietly and just enjoy the sunset...adding the organ would be amazing.
Except it would never happen in America. There'd be so many rails and barriers, just to make sure no one could slip, bump their knees and limp to the lawyer to cash in, that you'd end up having to see it from forty feet away.
