During filming of The Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Johnny Depp wore contact lenses which served as sunglasses so he wouldn't be squinting in the sun all the time. Okay, I didn't know they made those...and I want some!!!

People, I am beside myself with excitement. My friend dreadpiratetait just posted that the new PoTC movie is subtitled On Stranger Tides. Yep, that's right - to all appearances, Disney is using Tim Powers' wonderful tale of high seas adventure for the 4th PoTC movie!!! I've been told that Tim, upon being contacted by Disney, asked for two conditions - dinner with Johnny Depp, and bit parts for himself and his wife. How cool is that?

Get your pirate garb out, y'all - we are dressing for this one!

According to Joss Whedon, while filming Serenity, the most difficult scene to get the sound right was the scene between Simon and River at the end, after Simon had been shot. Whedon says that the bond formed between Sean Maher and Summer Glau was so strong, and Sean's acting so good, that Summer kept bursting into tears whenever they attempted to shoot the scene.
