Many of you may already know about my dilemma with graduation tickets. Each student was given eight tickets, which is a generous number already. We had assumed we wouldn't need tickets for my two baby nieces, so we hadn't budgeted for them...until the letter came telling us that every human body, no matter what age, had to have a ticket. In a panic, I had the Beetle write his principal a letter asking if we could perhaps purchase two tickets for the babies. In the meantime, I tried to arrange a sitter, just in case.

Today was the Beetle's graduation practice. I dropped him off at the gym and ran eleventy-three errands of my own. When I rolled in to get him afterward, he handed me the envelope containing his graduation tickets. The school principal came through, and now my baby nieces can come in with us! Hulloo hullay!

On top of that good news, there appears to be a thunderstorm coming our way. The sky's dark and the wind is howling and after three days of intensely hot weather, nothing has ever looked so good to me. Come on, rain!
