You're feeling: nervous, excited, calm, frustrated, pleased. Just wait two minutes and I'll be feeling some other way. Sort of like the weather in London, except all in my head. Isn't that scary?

To your left: The phone, my shiny signing pen, a tiny pirate ship, four tiny guinea pig pirates, and a cold Woodchuck Cider.

On your mind: The second book, that I'm trying desperately to finish.

Last meal included: A red leaf and avocado salad with honey mustard dressing

You sometimes find it hard to: bother cooking dinner.

The weather: pleasant, but not summery enough yet.

Something you have a collection of: Dragons (Yes, really.)

A smell that cheers you up: Low tide in the Lowcountry. Smells like home.

A smell that can ruin your mood: Collard greens being steamed. Bleh!!!

How long since you last shaved: Yesterday, the legs.

The current state of your hair: Up in pins, with some toy hair attached. Because I felt like being girly today.

The largest item on your desk/workspace (not computer): It's a tie between the buccaneer bear kaeleigh_faire gave me, and the standing compass from my sister aubietiget.

Your skill with chopsticks: I'm a master, y'all! My daddy taught me how to use them when I was about three, and I never forgot how.

Which section you head for first in a bookstore: SF&F

Something you’re craving: Oddly, nothing at the moment.

Your general thoughts on the presidential race: I'm ready to vote and be done with this.

How many times have you been hospitalized this year: None. Yay me!

Favorite place to go for a quiet moment: During the work day...the B hall lounge. At home...my front porch.

You’ve always secretly thought you’d be a good: singer.

Something that freaks you out a little: friends and relatives who ask me to talk to their pets on the phone.

Something you’ve eaten too much of lately: eggs. We have them every morning, and I'm just tired of them.

You have never: smoked a cigarette. (Cigars, yes, and the occasional puff off of a clove, but no actual cigarettes.)
