mistymasseyToday in 1793, Marie Antoinette, wife of Louis XVI, was guillotined. And they didn't even give her any cake beforehand.
My page proofs are winging their way to my editor, so I had the weirdest sense of lightness all day. But now, there's a story poking at the edges of my brain, demanding my attention. I really can't do more than one big story at a time, so I'm writing the little bits in a separate file to save until I can give it my full attention. Oh, and since this is Thursday.... !
I love to shop. It was bad enough when I discovered malls, but now that the whole internet is one giant mall where I don't have to put on my shoes, wheeeeee! So, for my Thirteen, I'm choosing the thirteen stores that would make up my perfect mall. Ready?
1. Joseph-Beth Books (do you really want an explanation on this one?)
2. Vosges Chocolates. *delighted sigh*
3. The Belly Dance Shop.
4. Sephora, because they sell Bare Minerals and Urban Decay.
5. Sock Dreams. They sell knee-socks that fit goddess-sized legs like mine!
6. Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab, where the descriptions are as delectable as the oils themselves.
7. Dead Men Tell No Tales, your best source of piratey goodies.
8. Zappo's - shoes!
9. Mary Jo's - fabric heaven!
10. CDBaby, great music from all over.
11. WOrld Market, which is like what Pier One used to be back when I was a kid.
12. Garden Ridge, for all my crafty needs.
13. Chick Fil A, because no mall is complete without a little fast food, and this is the best.
