Today in 536, Byzantine General Belisarius entered Rome while the Ostrogoths peacefully left the city. Sure they did. Okay, maybe they left without any violence, but you know there was some trash talking going on. I can just imagine crowds of Ostrogoths walking out of the city yelling, "You're a poophead!" and "Your mother washes her hair with hummus!" as they went.

I've tried three times to post something today, but every post seems to get really long and boring, so here's your short and cryptic guide to Misty's day. Ready?

- No, you were not just looking at it, unless you have somehow managed to grow eyes in your fingers.
- The next time you hear me agree to something like this, hit me. With a stick. Leave bruises.
- I don't care how proud you are of your football team - I wanted to watch "Heroes" last night.
- He said he was from FedEx, but I don't believe it. He was much too nice.
- Will he get there East Coast time or West?

Whew. Busy day, that.

Actually friend's little one at two years said to me one day "I'm just looking with my finger" after being told numerous times by her mom not to touch anything just to watch what I was doing.

The 'hummus" line was cute also
