Today in 1832, John C. Calhoun became the first Vice President of the United States to resign. If only Mr. Cheney could have followed that fine example.

I went over to Target this morning to see if there was anything left in the Christmas section. This being Sunday, I rather expected to find nothing but three beaten-up bows and a set of lights hanging out of the box. Silly me, I managed to buy plenty of gift bags and boxes to replenish the supply for next year, not to mention a couple of ornaments for stocking stuffing and two things for January birthdays.

We gamed last night, for the first time in a while, but at last we were able to see a light at the end of this mission's tunnel. Afterward beatrizwench and I watched the musical commentary on her Dr Horrible DVD, while philipmcavery and the Beetle killed zombies in the other room. I eventually dragged myself off to bed around 2. I have no idea what time the Beetle konked out, but he's still asleep now, so it must have been crazy-late.

My husband got that game too!! Hasn't played it yet though. Hooray for zombies....

and also, I award you a medal for bravery, for being willing to face a Target (or any big store) in the post-season sale madness. You're a better woman than I!

It was bizarre...there was no one there! I wasn't even there early. I guess I missed the post-Christmas rush. Yay!

Yanno, I went to Target on Saturday morning, fully expecting to run into some type of madhouse only to find no one there. I asked the cashier if it was busy on Friday and she said not so much. "I think people got it right the first time", is what she said.

But I love to game out like that. Doesn't happen often, but when it does it's lots of fun!
