Today in 1885, L.A. Thompson patented the roller coaster. A moment of silence please, in joyous remembrance. My life just wouldn't be right without roller coasters in it.

Two of my buddies, Faith Hunter (faithhunter) and Kim Harrison have been nominated for the Urban Fantasy Land Readers' Choice Awards!

Go vote for them! I'll wait right here 'til you get back.

Tell your friend Kim Harrison that she needs to get an e-mail distribution list. I went to her website to sign up and there was no announce list! If I knew ahead of time when her books were coming out, I'd go buy them right away!
Also, tell her, as a red-headed witch, I love her books, the dry, ironic humor in her "voice," and there a dozens of things in my life that don't get done because I have to read "just one more chapter," even though I'm reading through them the second or third time.

I love me some coasters, yes I do. Twice in my life I've had wonderful guys surprise me with trips to ride coasters. They remain some of my fondest memories.
