mistymasseyToday in 1601, Robert Devereaux, the second Earl of Essex, headed up a rebellion against Queen Elizabeth I. He was not successful, and lost his head two weeks later. Foolish man - just because the Queen thinks you're cute does not mean you can take over.
It is really annoying to work all afternoon updating your website, only to realize after you get up from the chair that you forgot to click a little clicky box somewhere along the line, and now the new page you created isn't there. *sigh*
Oh well, at least the changes saved. I'll fix the missing page later.

Date: 2009-02-09 01:20 am (UTC)My day was finding that I was getting out of bed without having decided to do so (it was a weird sensation.) Walking downstairs. Going outside and beginning to unpack some stuff we'd temporarily stuck on the porch...only to find that some of John's books (as if foreign copies of books written by John) and some of my pictures of myself and my mom when we were little had gotten wet. Thank God I got to it right then! I'm so greatful for the intuition to go do that right then.
Then Orville lost the pinewood derby in a serious way because a wheel was wobbly on the Cheesemobile, but he took it well.
Ended nicely, though. We went and saw Inkheart, which I really enjoyed.
