Mar. 8th, 2009 03:11 pmToday in 1978, the first-ever radio episode of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, by Douglas Adams, was transmitted on BBC Radio 4. I hope you all had your towels handy.
We went to see Watchmen yesterday, and I think we're all coming down on the "we liked it" side of the argument. The Beetle and I were particularly fond of Rorshach. (I was tickled to hear that NiteOwl and Rorshach were Cylons! There must be some kind of way out of here...) Granted, none of us have read the book, but at the moment we're blissful in our ignorance. *grin* I do, however, have a copy of the book on its way from Amazon.
I received the proposed panels for ConCarolinas yesterday. I'm supposed to write back with the list of panels I'd be willing to appear on...and let me tell you, there are some great ones! If I am assigned to all the ones I ask for, I'm going to be one busy little pirate. If you haven't ever been to ConCarolinas, this year's going to be a wonderful one to begin with. I'd love to see you all there!
And now, back to work. Before
sequinpusher comes down here and smacks me!

Date: 2009-03-08 09:16 pm (UTC)I saw the movie Friday and enjoyed it a lot. I did read the graphic novel but was so long ago that many of the details were forgotten. But I felt that they got it overall correct. Someone did mention the giant squid that attacts NYC wasn't in it...But like they even said, If they put everything that was in the book into to movie it would run about 7 hours at least. Now to re-read to see what I missed...
As for ConCarolinas, I have been planning on this con for a while now. I wanted to come last year but scheduling for me prevented it. I got all my things done now for this one and then for a while looked like I might not be able to go anyway...
But things turning around a bit so hope to see you, David and Faith there this year. Especially since David said it was great last year.
Just make sure that none of you are on competing times for panels...I don't want make a decision of which panels I want to attend :)
I will be geting there early in the day on Friday...Anything I should not miss since will have a few hours before con even starrts?
