mistymasseyToday in 1801, the Barbary pirates of Tripoli declared war on the United States of America. According to Thomas Jefferson's papers, ...when they sprang to the deck of an enemy's ship, every sailor held a dagger in each hand and a third in his mouth; which usually struck such terror into the foe that they cried out for quarter at once. Pirates are evil and naughty, but they sure knew how to make an entrance.
I was working on interview questions for a writer who's agreed to be a guest on Magical Words, and I moved the cursor over the "save" button just as I suddenly sneezed. My hand jerked, and my finger clicked.
