Today in 1519, Ferdinand Magellan's five ships set sail from Seville to circumnavigate the globe. And today in 1990, the Magellan space probe reached Venus. Leave Spain, land on Venus...I can't imagine he was expecting that.

I took the Beetle to pick up his first semester books and schedule for his JUNIOR year of high school. He's excited about this year, since he's registered for Digital Art and Design I and II and Drafting. I still can't wrap my head around the idea that he's almost out of high school.

Last year during CRF's Pirate's Christmas weekend, I lost the Magic Pirate Bindi I was wearing. It broke my heart, but gone was gone. Oh happy days...I have replaced it! The Etsy seller, BigAss Bindis, was kind enough to make me another one, and it's on the way. If you're on site for Pirate's Christmas weekend, come and see me!

Tomorrow is my last day of summer break. I think I'll drink daiquiris while I write. :D

South Pointe's not getting schedules till first day of classes. Stupid, yes.

Does SouthPointe do a full year schedule, or two semesters?

Two semesters. Admin says it's because only a small portion of students come out on advance days so they're not doing it this year.

Yes, kinda dumb. There were so many kids at school today we had to wait in line for nearly half an hour to get inside the building. And when we left, the line was no shorter.

Ah well.

Yes, daiquiris will do but margaritas hit where they need to faster this time of year. I start back "officially" on Monday but have been at school three times the last two weeks for meetings and other such nonsense.
