Today in 2009, I decided I was tired of historical tidbits. I know a lot of you really enjoy them, but I find myself choosing events I've already written about, which may not bother you but drives me batty. Never fear, though...I'll be starting something new in the next post or two, so keep a weather eye!

Like many folks, this year has been a bit of a belt-tightener. I've had to watch my spending and stay home from a good many events I wanted to attend (*whistle* World Con?) Just when I had myself talked out of going to something I'd had my heart set on, the universe seems to be dropping it into my lap anyway.

Gee, could this have been a vaguer post? I promise, I'll be specific as soon as everything is set.

I will definitely miss Historical Tidbits. Any chance they could have an occasional reoccurance, say once a month, or something?

Missed you at World Con. I hardly knew anyone there.

World Con is a monster, especially when you don't know a lot of people. I went last year, and kinda ended up attaching myself to Lisa Mantchev and Jenna Waterford. (They were very welcoming!)

I imagine there'll be a resurgence of history some time. *grin*

Alas, no. I have always wanted to go and it has not worked out...

...and now I have to go to China before Nov 11th...so I won't be going a lot of other places.
