mistymasseyToday in 1783, George Washington resigned as commander-in-chief of the Continental Army. I guess he couldn't get the day off for Christmas any other way.
We tried to go see Avatar (3D) last night, but without success. No, the theater wasn't full or anything like that...in fact, counting us, there were only five people in the theater to see it. No, the problem was that someone burned some popcorn in the concession area, and ended up emptying the whole theater for the night! We were given passes to come back another day, and kept our 3D glasses to use then. But still, it was disappointing. I'm pretty sure it's my husband's fault - he wouldn't buy us popcorn, because of a recent news story that detailed how very, very unhealthy movie popcorn really is.
Clearly he angered the popcorn gods!
