I got home from a quick shopping trip this morning, to find an envelope on my porch. From Tor.
My hands were shaking terribly, but I got the thing open without destroying the contents. Inside was a note from Denis and the edits I'd need to do for final turn-in. He had assured me some time ago that, because of all the rewriting I did before they bought it, the final edit wouldn't be a big deal, and he was right. Less than 40 pages, with mostly small changes requested.
I don't have a deadline yet, but I'm waiting to hear back on that. I can't imagine it'll be long, though, since the changes aren't extensive. Which means I may not be able to go to Charleston this weekend as previously planned. But I can live with that.
Another step on the Book Journey! Woot!
