Inspiration comes in the strangest places.

So I'm sitting on the pollen-coated bleachers watching the Beetle's soccer practice yesterday afternoon...he is head and shoulders taller than his teammates, since this is the last season he can play in the Under-14 League. But I digress... I had brought along a book to read and a notebook for working on sketching out the final chapters of Book Two, the Neverending Saga. I flipped through the notebook looking for a blank page to use, when I ran across a page of notes from before I finished Book One. And suddenly a roadblock I'd been throwing myself against for months crumbled, and the whole book lay open in front of my mind's eye.

I have to say I was happy it didn't occur in the shower, because I don't have any waterproof notebooks. *grin*
