Stop me, before I spend again!
Jul. 9th, 2007 01:07 pmThe Beetle asked this weekend if I would take him to the Joseph-Beth Bookstore in Charlotte on Monday. He was feeling the need for more mangas, or possibly some new D&D books. Being the loving mother I am, I drove him there this morning. He didn't find anything he wanted. I, however, found something. Five somethings:
grrm's A Feast for Crows, which I never finished reading when I got it from the library. This way I can take my time;
A lovely bargain-priced hardcover of Lindsey Davis' Scandal Takes A Holiday, which I've read but didn't own;
Living Next Door to the God of Love by Justina Robson, nominated for the John W Campbell Memorial Award;
Hope Mirrlees' Lud-in-the-Mist; and
Snake Agent, Liz Williams' first novel in the Inspector Chen series.
And I'm not even sorry. So there.
