So the page proofs are done, and winging their way northward to Tor's loving hands. It took me a little longer than I liked, but I'll still have them returned nearly a week before my deadline.

This morning, I decided to go fabric shopping with my favorite fabric-hunting buddy, beatrizwench. I found stuff to make new breeches and shirt for the Beetle (he having outgrown everything over the summer) and some lovely red gauze for harem pants for me. I didn't find what I went for - material for a short overskirt - but on my way home, it occurred to me that something I already own might be just right. We'll see. Sewing shall commence tomorrow, since the faire starts when it starts and waits for no man. I have been known to be sewing the last stitches onto a bit of garb while riding in the car, on our way to faire, but I'd like to avoid that this year. I get my fingers pricked too often doing that, and I hate to show up to faire with bloody fingers.

A week BEFORE deadline???? It doesn't matter that it took longer than you would have liked, the production editor (or whatever they call my job there) will still love you for it.
