I just got home from speaking to a local book club. We met in a tapas restaurant. I'd never had tapas before, so I was excited about trying something new. Everyone ordered two things, and the plates passed around the table so we could all have a bite. I could very well have been eating chilled monkey brains for all I know, but boy! everything was delicious.

Then the ladies started asking me about the book, my writing process, the publishing industry, what Amazon numbers mean (ha ha ha!) and so on. I was tickled when they started discussing the themes of secrecy, women's personal power and the truth of relationships between men and women that appear in my book.

I had themes? Really? I had themes!

I cannot express how much this makes me smile.

Did you ever check into coming to the Rogersville faire the first weekend in June? This year the faire is using a Pirate theme. I'll be playing the part of Anne Bonny among the cast. Would love to have you there set up with a table and books to sign and sell :D If you want to come and would like me to talk to the director about it, just let me know and I'll see what I can work out :)
