I ran across a funky news bit today, about a comet that might pass a little close to Earth next Thursday night. A scientist in eastern Europe was telling everyone some doom and gloom tale, about "a global awakening", whatever that means. I tried to find it again when I got home, but all trace seems to have disappeared.

I wonder what happened.
