I have not flown in nearly twelve years, but I now need to arrange a plane flight to Denver in August. I have no idea what I'm doing. I played on the Expedia site, but it doesn't seem to make any sense. When I ask for a round trip, it quotes me one price, but when I try to say which flight I want for my return, it's adding a whole new price to the original one. Is there no such thing as a round-trip anymore? Should I just go find a travel agent and let him do this for me?

Right now I'm ready to walk to Denver. (Ooh, having a flash on The Stand - eek!)

EDIT - My head is no longer spinning and I am no longer walking. I have booked a flight! All by myself! I'll have to hang out in JFK for a while either way. philipmcavery has forbidden me from using my free time to go find Ben Bailey. *pout*

Congrats on booking the flight. The few times I've flown, I usually go directly to the airline websites. I tried pricing through some of the on-line booking sites before, compared prices and didn't really find them to be that different from what I could get directly from the airlines.

That's what I ended up doing, and it was so much easier. Maybe if I travelled more, this wouldn't have been such a quagmire.

When I went to Baltimore with a friend of mine to see her brother, it was the first time for her and the second time I've flown, the last time I was about...five *lol*. Congrats on getting a flight!
