The pirate is wearing contacts!

I was fitted for my contacts this afternoon, and so far, I like them. I've wanted contacts for years, but I'd always been told before that because of my high astigmatism in the right eye, contacts wouldn't work for me. Not any more! Woot! The pirate can see!

I was going to talk about books today, but then I happened to look at the Denvention Pocket Program, and they've arranged for me to sign books....with Tobias Buckell, author of Crystal Rain and William Dietz, author of Runner. Nobody's going to even notice me. Wow.

And yeah, I memed for a minute today.

When I was in the fifth grade, some of us began a Club. It was the Venusians Club, and it was all girls. Our enemies were the Jupiterns, who happened to be all the boys in our class. Which makes my result to the following quiz pretty funny:

Contacts are the bestest! I'm only corrected to 20/25 though, cause my astigmatism isn't bad enough for the astigmatism lenses. I tried them--they make close-up work blurry. Bad idea in my job.

I used to have green contacts. And purple contacts. I was soooo elfish then. My eyes are hazel, but a green-blue hazel with some gold (mostly green). With the green lenses, they were soooooo green. Maybe I'll have to get those again.

Some of my dance pals were teasing me about the contacts, saying that I should get cat eyes or bright purple. *hee*
