Happy birthday, MTV! Today in 1981, cable music network MTV launched by airing "Video Killed the Radio Star" by The Buggles, followed by Pat Benatar's "You Better Run." Really, it's true: once upon a time, MTV actually played music videos. *sigh*

I had a long conversation with my wonderful dance teacher last night about my fears and self-doubt, and she gave me some insight I needed. I have a plan now, one I think will help me overcome this plateau I'm on and ramp my skills up.

Hooray for those of us who remember both videos! Good luck on overcoming the plateau--that's a much nicer term than "wall." If it helps your confidence, I just ordered your book on Amazon (as recommended by authoress_susan) and am awaiting it eagerly.
